Omantel's profit up 25% in Q3 |
Oman’s incumbent operator, Omantel, posted a net profit of OR28m ($72.7m) for Q3 2011, a rise of 25% compared to the OR22.4m profit the company reported for the same period last year.
The telco’s revenues rose by 13% in Q3 to reach OR109.9m, conmpared to OR97.4m in 2010.
The telco said that the profit rise was partly owing to a rise in subscriber numbers, although the results fell slightly short of analysts forecasts, according to Reuters.
