UAE telco Du has signed a memorandum of understanding to offer its full suite of broadcast, mobile and fixed telecom services to twofour54, an initiative by the Abu Dhabi government that support companies involved in the creation of local and Arabic content.

Under the MoU, Du will also offer customised services and project managers to twofour54 and its partners.

Osman Sultan, CEO of Du, said that the partnership with twofour54 is a significant step in the run-up to the nationwide launch of Du's fixed services in the country. He also said that Du's broadcast services, which is backed by Samacom, is mission critical to most media companies at twofour54.

Tony Orsten, CEO of twofour54, said: "If we are to succeed in our goal of establishing Abu Dhabi as a regional centre of excellence for Arabic media industry, we need to provide the content creation community we are building with the very best in facilities and services." He added that the agreement with Du will support twofour54's goal to providing this flexibility and choice in the broadcast and telecommunications sector.
