UAE telco Du along with On Demand Group (ODG) has signed a deal with Al Arabiya Cinema Production & Distribution to widen the choice of its video on demand Arabic movies library offered to its television customers.

Farid Faraidooni, chief commercial officer at Du, said: “This deal adds significant diversity and breadth to our Arabic movies selection, positioned amongst the existing top Western and Asian movies, premium TV, music videos and kids programming.”

On Demand features full control to pause, fast forward or watch again at the customer’s own convenience.

The latest Al-Arabiya blockbusters available on the Du service include ‘Wahed Min Al Nas’, ‘Sahar El Layali’ and ‘Immaret Yacoubian’. Other titles such as ‘Zehaimer’ and ‘Al-Mosafer’ are to be added later this year.

Du’s video on demand service is managed in partnership with ODG, a UK-based video on demand specialist.
