Bahraini telecom operator Batelco has launched an Unlimited Weekends bundle offering that allows its residential broadband subscribers to experience unlimited broadband usage during the weekends. This bundle provides its residential broadband consumers with unlimited usage every Friday and Saturday, even if the users cross their regular monthly threshold limits.

Batelco has a wide selection of residential broadband packages starting from 640 Kbps to 16 Mbps. Any of the broadband packages can be combined with the unlimited weekends bundle for just BD1.5 ($3.98) per month, which will be charged in addition to the standard package monthly rental.

The unlimited weekends deal also resets the speed if the regular threshold has been fully used leading to the account being throttled, thus providing the maximum download speed.

Ahmed Al Janahi, group general manager of media relations of Batelco said that the need for greater bandwidth is increasing at an extremely rapid pace and is likely to continue increasing as more advanced applications are introduced. “Batelco has therefore designed and developed the optional Unlimited Weekends bolt on to benefit customers during the weekends when many customers spend their free time online,” he added.

Batelco customers can visit www.batelco.com, or any of Batelco’s retail shops for more information about the unlimited weekends deal.
