Zain Group has appointed Omar Al Omar as acting CEO for its Kuwait operation.

Omar Al-Omar replaces Zain Kuwait’s former acting CEO, Khalid Al-Omar, who was last week named CEO of Zain KSA following the resignation of Dr Saad Al Barrak.

Omar Al Omar was previously chief operating officer at Zain Kuwait, and before that he was the company’s chief commercial officer from March 2011. Between 2005 and early 2010, Al-Omar held the position of Zain Group internal audit director.

Al-Omar joined Zain (then MTC) in September 2001, having worked previously in an internal audit capacity in the Kuwait Investment Authority. Al-Omar holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science from California State University.
