YahLive has signed an exclusive satellite capacity agreement with High TV 3D, the world’s only 24 hours a day, seven days a week 3D entertainment channel.

The agreement was signed at YahLive’s offices in Abu Dhabi by Mohamed Youssif, CEO of YahLive, and Eric Klein, CEO of High TV 3D. The agreement allows YahLive viewers across the Middle East and North Africa access to High TV 3D’s selection of 3D programming.

High TV 3D will broadcast free-to-air, offering viewers a range of 3D entertainment from news and travel programmes to drama, comedy, fitness, fashion, concerts, movies and a slate of in-house productions, such as reality TV shows. High TV 3D will broadcast 400 hours of native 3D content during its first year and add 500 new hours of native 3D content every year.

Negotiations with Pay-TV satellite, Cable, IPTV, OTT platforms and commercial properties are on-going. Commenting on the agreement, Mohamed Youssif, CEO of YahLive, said, “I am delighted to bring our viewers not only the highest level of HD programming but also the only 3D channel in the Middle East today. The revolution in TV entertainment technology combined with the amazing price drops, has driven consumers to acquire 3D smart TVs at a phenomenal rate. Now millions of viewers in the Middle East and North Africa will be able to enjoy High TV 3D, only on YahLive”.

“This agreement is another major milestone for High TV 3D,” said Eric Klein, CEO of High TV 3D. “The Middle East and North Africa is an important market for High TV 3D and we are excited to be the first and only channel that brings the very best in 3D lifestyle and entertainment programming to audiences across the whole region.” He added, “We plan to be carried on as many platforms as possible in the shortest possible time”.

YahLive has benefited from the shared knowledge and experience of the satellite operator SES. Using SES’s extensive knowledge of HD TV, YahLive has developed a high quality, robust and secure HD TV standard for its services in the region.
