Kuwaiti telco Wataniya has launched a mobile app to provide subscribers with real time information on live football matches, such as goal by goal coverage, statistics, scores and match fixtures of European, Champion and Kuwait Football Leagues.

The app, which is called Wataniya Soccer Leagues, was created by regional app specialist Info2cell.com and is available to Wataniya subscribers using Android, iPhone and Blackberry smartphones. The app is available in English and Arabic.

Bashar Dahabra, founder and CEO, Info2cell.com, said: “This new offering […] has been designed specifically for subscribers wanting to be constantly updated on ongoing football matches from the European, Champion and even the local Kuwait football league.”

The service, which will also cover team line-ups, squads and upcoming matches, was initially available for Android phone users through Android market since December 8, 2011, while iPhone and Blackberry users were being able to download the application since December 15, 2011 through the Apple store and Blackberry market respectively.

Info2Cell was founded in 1998 and has offices in Jordan and the UAE.
