FVC is present at GITEX TECHNOLOGY WEEK and is demonstrating Polycom’s immersive Real Presence solution (RPX), as well as its CIE (Customer Immersive Experience), in special demonstration rooms at the show.

The CIE solution uses collaborative technology from Polycom and Microsoft’s Lync Solutions to deliver unified communication that allows enterprise users to collaborate from the desk, on the road, at home or in a conference room.

FVC is focusing on targeting these technologies towards key industry verticals including oil & gas, healthcare, education and the financial sector, among others.

Dharmendra Parmar, GM, marketing at FVC, says: “Over the past decade that we have been in the value-added business, we have been able to highlight key challenges that each of these key sectors face and developed successful solutions with our vendor partners that help the IT managers of these key sectors tackle these challenges. We felt that we should share some of these solutions with our partners and customers.”

Parmar also adds that while some of the challenges are common to all industries, including network management and security, each sector has unique challenges especially in communications. The education sector uses UC for learning and collaboration.
