A Dubai-based firm has launched what it claimed is the world’s first tablet aimed exclusively for women, the ePad Femme Tablet, which comes in a shade of pink and with pre-loaded yoga, pregnancy and cooking applications.

The tablet, which retails at around US$163, is being marketed by the Eurostar Group.

“The new ePad Femme Tablet is catered to women who may have many diverse interests and will seamlessly fit into their lifestyle. We are especially enthusiastic about the wide ranging applications and utility this tablet will offer to women,” said Raju Jethwani, chairman of Eurostar Group.

Applications pre-installed on the device include those that help with everyday activities for women including yoga, fitness, cooking, health, entertainment and pregnancy.

The company, which has its headquarters in Dubai, has over 100 outlets in the Gulf, India, Singapore, China, Hong Kong and Africa.
