Kyle Whitehill has officially taken up his role as CEO of Vodafone Qatar.

Whitehill was named as the company’s new CEO in April, following the resignation of former CEO, Richard Daly.

Whitehill was previously CEO of Vodafone Ghana. Under his leadership, Vodafone Ghana became the second largest telecom operator in Ghana and grew the subscriber base to more than 5 million, up from 2 million.

Whitehill has worked for Vodafone Group since 2001 and has previously held various senior roles including enterprise business unit director in the UK and chief operating officer in India.

“I am delighted to be in Qatar and thoroughly looking forward to my new life here along with my family,” Whitehill said. “During Vodafone’s short time in Qatar, the competition we have bought has undoubtedly led to better value products and improved services for customers."
