Wataniya Telecom, a subsidiary of Qatar’s Ooredoo Group, posted a slight drop in third-quarter profit, missing analysts' estimates, according to Reuters.

Wataniya made a net profit of KD15.34 million ($54.43 million) in the three months to September 30, down from KD15.53 million dinars in the year-earlier period.

Analysts polled by Reuters on average forecasted that the telco would make a quarterly profit of KD24 million.

In the first nine months of the year, Wataniya made a net profit of KD57.7 million, down from KD62.9 million for the same period in 2012.
