Bahrain’s Batelco has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Huawei for the delivery of LTE technology for SURE, Batelco’s subsidiary in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man.

Huawei will deliver and integrate LTE base stations into SURE's networks.

The deal was signed on the sidelines of Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS) 2014.

Shaikh Hamad bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, chairman, Batelco and Huang Ji, VP Middle East, Huawei signed the MoU.

This MOU builds on an agreement signed by Shaikh Hamad and Huawei Middle East President, Shi Yaohong, during the Bahrain-China Business Forum held recently in Beijing, China.
