Vodafone Qatar has signed a deal to add airport lounge access to its Red Postpaid mobile subscriber privileges.

The deal with Priority Pass, the world’s largest independent airport lounge access program, will give Red subscribers access to over 600 VIP lounges in over 100 countries, with the highest plans having the greatest number of lounge visits each month. Each Red offer includes an allocation of lounge visits, which can be redeemed by the customer or any family or friend travelling with the customer.

Errol McGlothan, general manager EMEA, said: “We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious brand as Vodafone Qatar to provide its Red Postpaid customers with airport VIP lounge access worldwide. Adding airport lounge benefits to a telecoms proposition is unique in this region, and based on continuous research from millions of frequent travellers, we know that Vodafone’s Red customers are going to find real value in having access to these airport lounges.

“This exciting proposition is a real innovation in the Telecoms sector and will help Vodafone to deliver a relevant and aspirational package of lifestyle benefits to its customers. We look forward to Vodafone Red customers taking full advantage of the many benefits that Priority Pass can offer,” he added.

Cindy Moussa, marketing director at Vodafone Qatar added: “Choosing the right partner for our Red proposition was crucial as we were undertaking substantial improvements to our overall customer value proposition, and knew we needed to ensure that we had the best offering for our valued customers. Working with Priority Pass will ensure our Red Postpaid customers have the opportunity to enjoy the full benefit of VIP airport lounge access from a trusted brand. Priority Pass was further able to meet our requirements for flexibility in the offering of tailored benefits to different members. We want our customers’ journeys to be as comfortable as possible, and our partnership with Priority Pass means they will enjoy the benefits of a prestigious brand and a global leader in the lifestyle enhancement sector.”
