du has announced a new recycling programme for mobile phones which gives customers money off a new smartphone or tablet.

By handing in an old device, customers will be rewarded with a voucher to be redeemed against a new phone or they can opt to use the voucher and get up to 4 GB of data per month for six months on Pay As You Go.

"Our device exchange offer is a win-win offer for our customers and the environment; our customers enjoy fantastic data offers and fantastic prices on new smartphones, while knowing that their old device will be disposed of safely," said Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Commercial Officer, du.

In addition to du's Pay As You Go offer, customers can choose from monthly smartphone offers, including: 10GB of data with a minimum monthly spend of AED 250 for monthly plan customers; smartphone privilege offers; and easy payment plans.

To make a purchase with a du device exchange voucher, customers must have a du line. New customers can subscribe in-store and choose any of du's existing smartphone offers.
