Saudi Telecom Company (STC) have signed a joint Marketing and Sales Agreement under which they will develop integrated services solutions for key market segments.

The agreement will cover five key focus areas to achieve joint growth and differentiation in the Saudi marketplace comprising mega-projects around Smart and Connected Cities (S+CC); Enterprise & Public Sector; Small and Medium Business; Cloud Services and an Innovation Hub to spearhead the latest technologies.

Under the agreement, the two companies aim to offer differentiated sets of solutions for each target sector. STC is already a Gold Certified Partner, which gives it access to comprehensive sales, technical, and lifecycle services training and support available from Cisco.

A framework will be established for building an Innovation Hub to co-develop and showcase the latest technologies.

Eng. Abdulaziz Alsugair chairman, STC commented: "Our strategic partnership with Cisco is very important as improving our offering for our customers is always at the forefront of whatever we deliver. This joint Marketing and Sales agreement is yet another milestone in what has become a very successful collaboration between our two companies and we look forward to continuing to work closely with Cisco to help shape the future for our existing and potential new customers and partners."

John Chambers, chairman and CEO, Cisco added: "As more devices and people are connected on the network, businesses will need to continue to innovate and transform to meet the demands of their customers. Today business leaders in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, like STC, want partners who can guide them through change and help shape their organisations for the future. Our strategic partnership with STC is designed to achieve this goal. Over the next ten years, a major opportunity will be for companies to evolve their organisations to thrive in the new environment as we enter the era of the ‘Internet of Everything' which is presenting a new level of opportunity for technology growth and innovation. Cisco is proud to be strategically collaborating with STC as they embark on this journey."
