Cisco will participate in the Internet of Things Expo 2015 (IoTX), which will be held from June 8–9 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre. The company will showcase its technology solutions which aim to help the region’s public and private sector organisations leverage digital transformation in order to embrace the Internet of Everything (IoE) that will help transform their business models.

“In order for Middle East organisations, cities and communities to fully embrace the IoT today and the IoE of the future, institutions will need to become digitised. Becoming a digital business requires an agile IT model, and the ability to rethink core processes for the digital era. Embracing new security, cloud, mobile, social and analytics technologies required to fully digitize takes imagination, investment and expertise,” said Rabih Dabboussi, general manager of Cisco in the UAE.

“Dubai is the perfect location for the inaugural Internet of Things Expo 2015 as the City has already made major strides in delivering the Smart City Vision as laid out by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which can be showcased and provide a template for Smart City initiatives throughout the region. As the shift toward digitization accelerates, the IoE has the potential to further accelerate the Middle East region’s pace of change,” he added.
