Other areas to be covered by the training program include management best practices, which involves ITIL Foundation, PMP and COBIT5 Foundation. Finally, there are areas that focus on the growth of small and medium enterprises and the interest in entrepreneurship, business skills including business writing, marketing foundation and basic sales.
There will be a rollout of self-paced learning channels including short training videos that can be accessed any time and using any smart device.
“The CoDI mandate is truly manifested in these amazing training programs on offer. They allow users to gain invaluable skills in various information and communication technologies as well as other more general skills that can be applied in a variety of industries and sectors. The self-paced learning online is a great way for citizens to enhance their skills and desirability in the work space and in the long-term continue to enhance the UAE’s reputation as a growing smart-government hub and a truly knowledge-based society,” said H.E. Hamad Obaid Al Mansouri, TRA director general.
“We have the vision of our leaders to follow. This long-term vision of progress has allowed for such innovative and ambitious programs including CoDI’s training programs. We believe that the people of the UAE are embracing an electronic lifestyle that enhances their standard of living and allows for unprecedented interaction between government entities and the people. In addition, by offering these technology-driven training programs we are building capacities in new areas as well as adding diversity to the skillsets of government employees and students. It is an important step in extending the reach of the community to valuable educational resources and knowledge,” added Al Mansouri.
