Samsung Electronics has launched its latest addition to the Galaxy family, the S7 and S7 Edge to consumers in the UAE.

Speaking  at the launch at Ritz Carlton, Dubai, Tarek Sabbagh, head of IT and mobile division at Samsung Gulf Electronics said:"The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge are very bold representations of our commitment to the hundreds of millions of people around the world who love our products and inspire our work. Class-leading camera technology, a longer-lasting battery, cutting edge processors and optimisation for gaming are just some features will make these the most innovative smartphones you've ever owned."

Both the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge feature the Dual-pixel camera which aims to deliver brighter and sharper images, even in low light. The 5.1-inch S7 and 5.5-inch S7 edge are constructed with 3D glass and metal with durability and ergonomic curves for a comfortable grip.

The devices also feature the new Always-On display, providing a zero touch experience where users will not miss any notifications. Furthermore, both devices have increased utility with IP68 water and dust resistance.

Samsung has also updated its software and hardware features to optimize gaming performance, and the processer and larger battery capacity ensures longer gaming time and the internal cooling systems prevents the devices from overheating. Along with wireless charging technology, the hybrid SIM card tray enables users to insert a microSD card for up to 200GB of storage.

The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge will be available at all major retailers in the UAE starting March 12th. The recommended retail price for Galaxy S7 is AED 2,499, with the Galaxy S7 edge available at AED 2,799.
