Airbus Defence and Space will unveil a prototype of the new Tactilon Cell at the Critical Communications World exhibition in Amsterdam. It is a small and transportable system for running small LTE-networks during, for instance, anti-terror campaigns, large events or rescue missions.
The broadband solution can easily be transported by one person and is suitable for cars and other vehicles. The Tactilon Cell comprises every feature of a LTE-network.
“For those who are in need of a small LTE network, the Tactilon Cell is an excellent solution. It makes a difference, because it can be installed quickly, easily and flexibly in places where a communication infrastructure is not available,” says Eric Davalo, head of strategy, solution portfolio and engineering of secure land communications at Airbus Defence and Space.
The cell includes terminals like the new Tactilon Dabat, a base station, LTE software and an apps server for mission-specific applications such as the Tactilon Agnet multimedia group communication.
