Etisalat now has a new smartphone app that helps customers traveling abroad make discounted international roaming calls for only AED3/min, offering savings of up to 77 percent.

The Roaming Callback App from Etisalat allows roaming customers to enjoy calling any number within the country of visit, the UAE, or other countries at a special flat rate of AED 3/min. Customers need to simply download the App from Google Play store or Apple App store based on the device and install the app. Customers can start making calls directly through the app, which displays the contact list from the user’s native phonebook. The app will guide the customer step-by-step, making the call back process automatic and easy to use. The app does not require a mobile data connection.

Khaled Elkhouly, Chief Consumer Officer at Etisalat said: “Summer breaks are around the corner and it is time for overseas travel for people in the UAE. Our new Callback App simplifies the process of making a call and therefore makes it much easier for customers to benefit from the highly discounted calling rate of AED3/min that the callback feature offers. We have seen a very positive response to the callback service and this will only help more customers to reap the benefits.”

Customers without an Apple or Android smartphone can still make an outgoing call at this special rate by dialling *145*00#OK to make an outgoing roaming call. For example, a customer roaming in the UK needs to dial *145*0097150xxxxxxx#OK to call an Etisalat UAE number. More information on roaming services from Etisalat can be found here.
