Ooredoo Oman launches new messaging service for businesses

Ooredoo has launched a new value-packed mass SMS service. Developed to assist businesses of all sizes, this latest offering aims to enhance company communication with existing and potential customers cost-effectively and quickly, while adding to a business’ marketing impact in today’s competitive enterprise environment.

“Text messages are a powerful business communications tool that can be used by any industry; from large corporates to start-ups alike, to reach their target audience from the entire Ooredoo base,” said Monther Al Mamari, Ooredoo director of business product management.

“What is fantastic about Ooredoo Mass SMS is that it puts the business firmly in control. It allows them to design their own message in the language they think will be most effective, to send it out to as many or a few people as they like, and to the target groups they select from a set of predefined filters that are available. And just like any other SMS, the message reaches the recipient’s mobile instantly. Campaigns can be monitored in real-time and best of all, Ooredoo mass SMS is highly affordable. The service also provides recipients with the option of opting out of the service, thus providing the business with an audience who are happy to receive any promotional messages.”

Using the dedicated Ooredoo portal and without the need to download software or install hardware, corporations and SMEs alike can send their specially designed and tailored marketing messages of up to 160 characters in English or 70 characters in Arabic, to send promotions and alerts in bulk lists to mobile numbers in the Ooredoo network. A variety of filter choices are available including nationality, age, gender and location. Ooredoo Mass SMS can send out sets of large volume messages simultaneously.

There is a special Admin Portal and App Dashboard feature to monitor the status and success of messaging campaigns at any time. Ooredoo also offers 24/7 technical support and the integrated payment gateway offers a choice of online and offline payment options.
