Mobily reiterates its commitment to security

Telco says its systems are completely secured and protected

Mobily has said that it applies the highest security standards and the most advanced technologies to protect itself from cyberattacks, according to a report in Arab News.

It said: “Our systems had cyberattacks like other companies and sectors in Saudi Arabia and the region. The advanced technologies and security infrastructure, implemented in Mobily, comply with the highest international security standards.”

Mobily added: “Our systems are completely secured and protected.”

This comes following the warning from the telecoms authority of Saudi Arabia that organisations in the kingdom should be on the alert for cyber attacks including a version of the destructive Shamoon virus, as a chemicals firm reported a network disruption and the labour ministry said it had been attacked
