Comba Telecom is showcasing its smart city solutions at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Dr. Hazim Al-Rawi, Comba’s GM for the MENA region, said, “Policymakers in the Middle East and beyond are increasingly turning to smart city initiatives to boost the quality of life for its citizens, and are growing increasingly aware of the significance of IoT technologies that can support this connected future. Among the solutions highlighted at the show are V2X demo system architecture that relies on virtualised mobile edge computing (MEC) platforms to achieve low latency vehicle monitoring and facilitate road safety; video orchestration solution over MEC platforms; WiFi based location tracking; and facial recognition solution with customer traffic flow monitoring capability.
