Thuraya’s former CEO, Samer Halawi, has joined OneWeb as chief commercial officer, reports SpaceNews

OneWeb Satellites is a joint venture between OneWeb and Airbus, the world’s second largest space company to manufacture low-cost, ultra- high performing satellites at high-volumes.

Halawi led satellite fleet operator Thuraya for six years, before leaving in March 2017. 

LinkedIn profile of Halawi says he’s focusing on “commercial activities, business development, and growth for OneWeb, to help bring affordable access to everyone.”
