Delta Partners, an advisory and investment firm specialised in the telecoms, media and digital (TMD) space, has promoted Borja Lopez to Partner. In his new role, Lopez will focus on leading strategy consulting projects in the Middle East and CIS countries. He will be based in the Dubai office.

Borja Lopez joined Delta Partners in March 2007, as senior associate and became a Principal later. Lopez has led several projects across Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Following this, Borja served as managing director of strategy, digital and investments at GreenApple in Kazakhstan where he helped devise the telecom and digital strategy for telecom and digital companies. He has also led the creation of three successful digital start-ups, Dar, Crediton and Halva, in Kazakhstan.

Lopez re-joined Delta Partners in 2017 as associate partner. He also currently serves as an Advisor to Verny Capital on telecom and digital investments and sits on the Board of Directors of Kar-Tel and SkyMobile, representing Verny Capital’s interests.

Victor Font, CEO, Delta Partners, said: “One of the greatest things Delta Partners offers to all employees is a meritocratic career in advisory and investments in an exciting industry, which is reshaping our world and our lives completely. We are especially proud when we can prove this by announcing an internal promotion to the partnership. It’s a pleasure and honour to announce Borja’s promotion to Partner, which also marks the 18th internal promotion to the partnership since we founded the firm in 2006.”

He added: “We believe that internal promotions equip us better as a leadership team since these allow us to give greater responsibilities to professionals that carry the Delta Partners DNA and who have grown with the firm. We are certain our leadership team is stronger with Borja. His energy, passion, experience and client development skills will be invaluable in the months and years to come”.
