WhatsApp has launched a separate app dedicated to small businesses to allow them to connect with their customers.

WhatsApp Business, which is only available on Android, enables users to personalise their profiles by adding a business description, store address, website URL and email address. Additionally, to make the service quick and easy, WhatsApp has included messaging tools including quick responses, away messages and an analysis of how many messages were sent, delivered and read.

The Facebook-owned messaging service aims to improve the business experience with better communication, plus users will have full control over messages they receive and will be able to block any number, as well as businesses and spam.

Users will be able to use their personal accounts and WhatsApp Business is compatible with WhatsApp Web.

WhatsApp Business is free to download for Android users, however, there is no mention of an iOS release yet. WhatsApp Business is currently available in Indonesia, Italy, Mexico, the UK, and the US, with an expected global release in the coming weeks.
