Z Services and McAfee are teaming up to bring the first in-country cloud security solution to organisations across the Middle East and North Africa.

The solution, powered by McAfee’s MVISION Cloud, will be available through Z Services’ in-country multi-tenant cloud security infrastructure.

With the addition of this solution, Z Services will extend its cloud-based customer offering and enhance its consistent data protection and threat prevention capabilities across SaaS, IaaS and PaaS platforms such as Office 365, Box, Dropbox, AWS and Microsoft Azure to name a few. The in-country solution also enables customers to remain compliant with regulations around data storage.

Nidal Taha, president of Z Services, said: “Operating within an environment of constant security threats, organisations in the MENA region need a solution that assures security across multiple cloud applications and protects data.

According to Gartner, “Over the past five years, Cloud Security has been one of the fastest growing areas of information security investments.”

Cloud Security provides organisations with better visibility of Shadow IT cloud services, monitoring of cloud application usage, prevention of cloud data leakage, and protection against diverse threats. The addition of the McAfee’s MVISION Cloud to our cloud-based offering demonstrates our commitment to innovate with customer needs in mind and offer newer layers of security that regional businesses may not even have considered yet.

Nigel Hawthorn, EMEA director of cloud security at McAfee, said: “This cloud security solution will enable businesses across MENA to leverage the cloud, like never before. McAfee’s MVISION Cloud was built in the cloud, for the cloud. It gives businesses the ability to better protect valuable information from cyber attacks by enforcing policies with enhanced visibility of data and user behaviour across cloud services and devices to stop security threats.”

The Z Services Cloud Security includes a range of pre-integrated applications that make it easy to securely adopt cloud application services. Effectively, this partnership brings the MENA region a cloud-based security solution that offers the industry’s broadest and deepest set of security capabilities for the largest set of cloud services. An added advantage is that this is now available through Z Services’ unique as-a-service and telco-delivered models.
