The Internet's most loved feline, who brought much joy through her grumpy disposition, has died.

Grumpy Cat, real name Tardar Sauce, died last week due to complications with a urinary tract infection. Her owners announced her passing on social media with a post celebrating her grumpiness that “helped millions of people smile all around the world.”

Tardar Sauce rose to Internet meme celebrity after a post on Reddit went viral seven years ago, when her pepetual frown attributed to feline dwarfism, resonated with many.

At the peak of Grumpy Cat's career, the feline had a movie, appeared on several talk shows, and had her own ad campaigns.

Tardar Sauce's famed visage continues to be used on the Internet, proving once again that the Internet is truly a strange yet wonderful place that can sometimes extend beyond the digital world.
