US Senator Marco Rubio has called for legislation to keep restrictions on doing business with China's Huawei in place, after president Donald Trump apparently reversed an executive order banning Huawei kit.

Rubio said on Twitter that legislation was needed.

On the sidelines of the recent G20 summit in Japan, Trump told Chinese president Xi Jinping the ban would be lifted.
