Amazon expands Lord of the Rings empire to gaming

Aside from developing a television series - likely to be shot in New Zealand like the Sir Peter Jackson films were - Amazon is reportedly developing a Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game (MMORPG) based on J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series.

It is unknown when the game might be released, or its plot.
