Etisalat has launched its new ‘Play on Demand’ service for postpaid and prepaid customers, offering unlimited video streaming for only 5 fils per minute.

The service gives Etisalat postpaid and prepaid customers the convenience of going unmetered when streaming videos and pay by the minute for time used without consuming from their plan allowance. With ‘Play on Demand’ access customers no longer need to have a Wi-Fi connection to make the most of any moment – they can go Live, watch a Movie, stream a Football Match – anytime anywhere on their mobile, with speeds up to 3Mbps optimised for high-definition videos.

Khaled Elkhouly, chief consumer officer, Etisalat, said: “The launch of ‘Play on Demand’ service for our postpaid and prepaid customers now gives them more control of data usage, while at the same time giving them the freedom to enjoy watching their favourite online content on the go. In the new offer, subscribers can break free from their mobile data limits and pay by the minute for streaming videos giving them transparency and flexibility with their data plans. Etisalat will continue to bring innovation for customers by launching services that address their changing dynamic requirements.”

Users will be able to start and stop their unlimited data sessions by dialling *800# or via the Etisalat UAE mobile app. The speed will be limited to 3 Mbps. To initiate a Play on Demand session, one needs to have enough credit, or remaining bill limit to cover the minimum session charge of 75 fils (15 minutes of usage).

This  service will be available for a limited period only. More information on Etisalat’s ‘Play on Demand’ service is available here .
