du has announced a significant strategic partnership with leading identity and access authentication solutions provider one37.

The collaborative partnership, which was agreed at the Future Blockchain Summit 2019 in Dubai, will see the two parties introduce innovative identity solutions enabling public and private enterprises to take full advantage of the readymade blockchain-powered platform. The alliance will also see du and one37 curate and deliver identity solutions to provide tailored and secure options to enterprises.

Marwan Bin Dalmook, senior vice president of ICT solutions and smart city operations at du, said: “Our goal, whilst maintaining the enterprise customer’s success at the centre of everything we do, is to support the UAE business community to deliver sustained success taking full advantage of this burgeoning blockchain technology from a trusted solution partner. It solidifies our market presence as a credible, reliable contributor to business growth in the UAE. Like du, one37 is dedicated to curating best-in-class secure identity solutions and we welcome the enrichments to the UAE’s digital transformation expected to come as a direct result of this collaboration.”

Benefits over other identity solutions include enhanced cost savings as opposed to traditional non-blockchain software solutions, overall improved customer experience throughout the journey, whilst also being an early adopter of this new frictionless ecosystem.

Fadwa Mohanna, CEO of one37, said: “We are very pleased to collaborate with du on empowering enterprises with innovative identity solutions leveraging the powers of blockchain. The one37 digital identity solution offers the ideal basis for a secure, easy-to-deploy, decentralised identity-as-a-service platform that is fit for enterprises seeking to digitally and efficiently transform their business.”

BPaaS-based use cases lead the blockchain technology revolution

By building on top of BPaaS, du’s new use cases are an important step towards providing smart solutions that create efficiencies for government transactions leading up to 2021.

Some new use cases developed by du included, document attestation solution that uses contract capabilities that will facilitate and automate the process of attesting any document by governmental entities. This addresses a key pain point where owners and dealers of luxury items, brand-name goods, fine art, and collectibles want to be completely certain that the items they’re purchasing,  especially on resale markets, are genuine.

du showcased innovations at the Future Blockchain Summit 2019 in Dubai from April 2-3.
