A "Digital Iron Curtain" is descending upon the world amid US president Donald Trump's executive order banning use of Huawei kit and numerous companies and countries around the world cutting ties with Huawei while the Chinese government retaliates, claims a new editorial.

The editorial, by Meng Jing and Zen Soo, ran in the South China Morning Post newspaper.
